Saunders Steps Aside?

As Lee chases Quillen fight.

After beating Chris Eubank Junior, on a split decision, it was thought that the next bout for Billy Joe Saunders would see him fight for the WBO middleweight title currently held by the Irish fighter Andy Lee.

However, that doesn?t now look as if it is going to happen with it being suggested that Saunders has been offered a six-figure sum to temporarily step aside to allow Lee to face the American Peter Quillen, a fighter who has a record that reads 31-0 with 22 wins coming by way of knockout.

But patience appears to be the key for Saunders who believes that he has the ability to beat both Lee and Quillen, remarking to the media,

?I want to prove that I?m the best in the world and I believe that I can beat Lee or Quillin right now.?

Shame then that right now isn?t the time to take that world title fight Billy Joe!
