Tidying up the under-card on the Stuart Hall v Paul Butler show, up in Newcastle, we should point out that the best performance of the night came from the Sedgefield light-welterweight Bradley Saunders.

Saunders taking on Vile Piispanene for the WBO inter-continental light-welterweight title stopped his opponent in 81 seconds with a devastating body-shot.

But what made the early finish so intriguing is that Piispanene has been in with some decent opposition having, recently gone twelve rounds with the European champion, Michele Di Rocco.

Talking about the knockout blow, Saunders had this to say,

?I?ve been working on that in the gym and he said to me, ?I?d heard stories that you could punch but f*** me I never, ever thought it would be anything like that?

So it?s onwards and upwards for Bradley Saunders as he starts to make waves in the light-welterweight division.

Could the sky be the limit?
