It?s become something of a standing joke amongst the close circle of friends I move in.
Sat in our local public house we?re often discussing various subjects relating to boxing and one subject seems to crop up with alarming regularity.
The subject in question is when the WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will fight again.
Saunders, who has a record that reads 23-0 with 12 wins coming by way of knockout, hasn?t fought since he won the belt back in 2015.
A succession of proposed fights has fallen by the wayside with injuries being the prominent reason for postponement.
It now seems that the WBO themselves have grown weary of Saunders inactivity as their champion and have made a decision that will leave Saunders with no room for manoeuvring.
The governing body has decreed that, due to Saunders inactivity his next two fights must be against their mandatory challengers.
It seems that the WBO are now set to sort the wheat from the chaff!
But who, or when, will Saunders climb back into the ring with?
Saunders Ordered to make TWO Mandatory Defences!
