After defeating Daniel Jacobs, at Madison Square Garden, New York, it remains to be seen who Gennady Golovkin chooses to fight next.

The reigning IBF / IBO / WBA / WBC middleweight champion, who has a record that reads 37-0 with 33 wins coming by way of knockout, was, it was thought, wanting to grab the one middleweight belt he doesn?t hold, the WBO one held by Billy Joe Saunders.

But it seems that any chances of a unification fight between Golovkin and Saunders could be fading fast.

The Hatfield fighter who has a record that reads 24-0 with 12 wins coming by way of knockout, is losing patience when it comes to a deal being done.

In fact Saunders has issued Golovkin and his team with an ultimatum, remarking to the media,

?I?ve still not heard back from Golovkin. I?ve been on to my manager and my promoter Frank Warren to start looking elsewhere.?

The suspicions are that Golovkin and his team are torn between taking on Saunders or hanging about to see if they can secure a mega-fight with Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez.

We can but wait and see!
