It seems an absolute eternity since Billy Jose Saunders was seen in a boxing ring.

The WBO middleweight champion hasn?t laced up his gloves in anger for some nine months, much to the frustration of his supporters and also those who like to see world champions kept active.

However, perhaps we should point out, to keep matters fair, that a hand injury prevented Saunders from taking the fight that was lined up with the little known Max Bursak.

But it now seems that Saunders, who has a record that reads 23-0 with 12 of those wins coming by way of knockout, is set to make a re-appearance.

According to information received, details of Billy Joe Saunders next fight will be announced tomorrow (Monday).

Now we?ve no indication, as of yet, who his opponent might be but the indications are that it won?t be a too taxing opponent as Saunders is being mentioned as a possible third British opponent on the trot for Saul ?’Canelo? Alvarez with December being mentioned.

If that is the case it?ll be great to see Saunders back in the ring twice in such a short space of time, his inactivity has been a shame for he fighter and also the sport.
