Please not again I hear you all screaming!
Apparently Audley Harrison is on the comeback trail. At forty-three years of age the former Olympic super-heavyweight gold medal reckons he?s not finished with the sport of Boxing.
Harrison is back in training and looking to fight again.
The fighter, who has a record of 31-7 with 23 by way of knockout, hasn?t got a suitable opponent yet but is talking about the prospect of taking on either Anthony Joshua or Dereck Chisora.
In our opinion a fight with Joshua should be declared a no-no. The unbeaten heavyweight, now ranked #8 by one notable organization; should be looking for a more creditable opponent that someone who was taken out in the first round by Deontay Wilder back in April 2013.
As for Chisora, having been comprehensively beaten by Tyson Fury last time out, I?d suspect that facing Harrison would be something he?d not consider with Harrison being something of a wild card.
Talking to the tabloid press about his comeback, Harrison is quoted as having remarked,
?There?s always a possibility of Joshua. I was talking to Eddie Hearn and Matchroom about fighting on a Sky show they had at the end of last year, but I was injured.
?We?ll have to see what?s out there. Whether it?s with a Joshua or a Dereck Chisora, I just want to get myself in shape and see where we are.?
About to enter the Harrison circus I?d suggest!
