But it?s not greeted with universal approval.

Also on the undercard of the Brook v Senchenko fight in Sheffield was a tasty encounter involving Brian Rose.

The Blackpool fighter was taking on the Argentine Javier Marcel with the winner earning a shot at the WBO light-middleweight title.

As it turned out, Rose took the verdict on a split decision with two judges giving the verdict to him, by scores of 117-111 and 116-113 with the third giving it to the Argentine fighter by 115-113.

The decision wasn?t greeted with universal approval with some of those in attendance booing the verdict.

There?s no doubting it was a close fight and the Argentine, many thought, could have done enough to at least get a draw.

Rose, in earning the verdict, albeit by a split decision, will now take on the winner of Demetrius Andrade and Vanes Martirosyan who fight, in Texas, for the vacant crown on 9th November.
