Blackpool?s light middleweight, Brian Rose, has secured a world title fight.

The 29 year-old will, though, have to do it the hard way if he is to become the WBO world light-middleweight title holder.

Having earned the right to fight for the title, by beating Argentina?s Javier Maciel back in October, Rose will have to travel to America to face Demetrius Andrade for the WBO belt on 14th June.

Andrade, twenty-six years of age, has an unblemished record as a professional registering 20 wins from his 20 fights.

However, Rose isn?t fazed at having to travel to America to face Andrade and has remarked to the media about his quest,

‘It’s a dream come true for me and something that I have wanted since I starting boxing at the age of nine.?

‘We’re not going over there to make up the numbers. I’m bringing that belt back to the UK.?

‘Andrade is, no doubt, a world-class fighter. He’s got the title and an impressive amateur pedigree. But I’ve got experience on my side, I’ve had more fights and more 12-rounders.?

I’ve been in with better and tougher opponents so this fight doesn’t and won’t faze me.’

Can Brian Rose return with the WBO belt?

I guess only time will tell!
