Rooney ? A Boxing Lover

Over at Old Trafford, a certain Wayne Rooney has always had an affinity with boxing.

Those of you who are fans of both football and boxing will recall that film footage emerged of Wayne Rooney having been pole-axed, by a team-mate, in a friendly bout of sparring in Rooney?s kitchen.

The story was covered, as you?d expect, by the national press and when Rooney scored in a Manchester United fixture immediately after, Rooney re-enacted the knockout blow in his celebrations.

A recent revelation, published on youtube suggests that Rooney would like to pursue a more active role when it comes to boxing, but admits Manchester United might not be too happy if he were to take up sparring.
