It was always going to be a fight that the television companies knew would bring in a huge audience but it just remained to be decided which channel would secure the rights to how it.

Of course the fight I?m talking about is the domestic showdown, in Manchester, where Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton will both put their belts on the line in a unification match.

Previously, the Frampton camp has seen their fights broadcast by a variety of channels including ITV and Sky Sports.

But it has been confirmed today that the fight on Saturday 27th February at the MEN arena will be broadcast by Sky Sports.

However, as you?d expect for a fight of this magnitude, it will be shown on Sky Box Office meaning that you?ll have to cough up a premium to watch it.

No surprise there then but I?d imagine the pay-per-view figures, for this bout, could well exceed all previous, it really is that an enticing fight.
