Reports, on the internet suggested that a deal had been done and dusted for Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg to put their respective world title belts on the line on February 27th 2016, in Manchester.
But, this morning, it emerges that negotiations are ongoing with Barry McGuigan, part of Frampton?s team, remarking to the media,
‘At this stage nothing has been signed but we are all working very hard to get this across the line.?
It appears that Frampton has decided not to box again this side of Christmas and perhaps some words the Northern Ireland fighter spoke back in September might carry even more significance now, words which read,
‘It’s the fight which whets my appetite the most.
‘I would be happy to fight him anywhere but is it fair for the champion to travel to Manchester to fight the challenger? I don’t think it is.
‘I’m happy to go somewhere neutral, maybe London or Birmingham.
‘I don’t think we are going to push for Belfast because I don’t think he would come here.’
If or should that be when the fight is made, who do you see emerging as the victor?
Quigg v Frampton Is Not Signed and Sealed Yet!
