The resurgent Boxing scene, in the UK, will witness another world title show on 19th April, in Manchester.

It has been announced that Scot Quigg will be defending his WBA super-bantamweight title, in a mandatory defence, against the Venezuelan fighter Nehomar Cermeno.

The challenger has a record of 22-5-1 compared to the unbeaten record that the 25 year-old Bury fighter boasts.

Having won the world title with s TKO against the Argentine fighter, Diego Oscar Silva, this mandatory defence is seen a s huge test for Quigg with his promoter, Eddie Hearn, remarking,

‘Cermeno already holds impressive victories over Cristian Mijares and undefeated Oscar Escandon in his last outing.?

‘Scott is in the toughest fight of his career against a mandatory challenger and interim champion.’

It looks like, once again; it is a date to put in your diary.
