News breaking this afternoon has inferred that the former WBA super-bantamweight champion, Scott Quigg, has suffered a set-back in his return from injury.

Quigg, who lost his WBA title in the epic domestic showdown with Carl Frampton last time out, sustained a broken jaw which required the insertion of a plate to assist in healing the injury.

However, Quigg has encountered a problem with the plate, remarking to the media,

‘Two lumps started to grow on the side of my gum.

‘That?s a reaction to the plates, it’ll be another month-and-a-half before I?m back sparring.?

Not the news Scott Quigg was hoping for but it?s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to injures like this.
