After suffering a broken jaw during his super-bantamweight unification clash with Carl Frampton, it?s looking like it?ll be a long time before we see the Bury fighter Scott Quigg back in the ring.

Today, one leading tabloid infers that Quigg may have to wait until October until he can fight again.

However, the 27-year-old is quoted as having remarked that his rehabilitation from his injury should see him make a return to light sparring around June time with Quigg quoted as having remarked,

?The intention is to start light sparring around June.?

For a fighter that was relatively active it will be a long time between fights and it remains to be seen what shape the super-bantamweight scene is in when Quigg makes his return.
