Scott Quigg is in training to make a defence of his WBA super-bantamweight crown on 13th September.

However it appears that Quigg, who has a record that reads 28-0-2 with 21 by way of knockout, will not be fighting his original opponent ? Paulus Ambunda.

Ambunda whilst in training for the fight has suffered a hamstring injury and has had to withdraw.

With the show a little less than four weeks away Eddie Hearn now needs to find a replacement, but creditable, opponent for Quigg to face, also with it being a world title fight the opponent will have to meet with the approval of the World Boxing Association.

Once the identity of the new opponent is known we?ll report further.
