The huge promotion at Wembley whereby Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko will go head-to-head, on April 29th, has had a decent fight added to the under-card.
Today it was announced that Scott Quigg will be on the bill.
The Bury fighter, now operating at featherweight, will be having his second fight in that weight division when he goes face-to-face with the Romanian fighter Viorel Simion.
Simion is a decent fighter with the 28-year-old having lost just once in twenty-eight bouts and that defeat came against the current IBF featherweight champion, Lee Selby.
Quigg has switched trainers since his last fight, moving to Los Angeles to be trained by Freddie Roach, after leaving Joe Gallagher?s gym in February.
This will be his first fight under the stewardship of Roach and Quigg appears to be enjoying life in the US, remarking to the media,
‘The switch out to Los Angeles has been a breath of fresh air.
‘The change of environment working with Freddie and the quality of sparring has really freshened things up.’
It should be quite a fight, but I?m going for a Quigg win.
