This Saturday evening David Price has the perfect chance to put his name in the frame when it comes to being in contention for consideration for a world heavyweight title fight.
The fighter from Liverpool, who has a record that reads 21-3 with 18 wins coming by way of the big knockout, will be taking on the very well-respected #12 WBO ranked Christian Hammer, who has a record that reads 20-4 with 11 wins coming by way of stoppage.
Price, back to winning ways, is rated #6 by the WBO, #10 by the IBF, #13 by the WBA and #14 by the WBC. A win over Hammer, on the undercard of the headlining bout between Renold Quinlan and Chris Eubank Jnr, will put Price in the picture as a possible challenger to Anthony Joshua for his IBF version of the world heavyweight title, or against the holder of the WBO version of the title, the Kiwi Joseph Parker.
Price, who packs a punch, is looking for that big win, here at Vital Boxing we reckon the heavyweight will do it by stopping Hammer by the fifth round.
But is that a view you share?
