News broke this afternoon that the Liverpool fighter, David Price, had relinquished the titles he was currently in possession of.

On the back of two stoppages, both against Tony Thompson, Price has relinquished both his British and Commonwealth titles.

Due to fight in Germany, a week on Saturday, against Evgeny Orloy, it would appear Price?s camp are navigating a route back to the upper echelons of the division without having to defend the belts he held.

Whilst some may seem this as strange, Price obviously has his reasons but it almost certainly means that the much vaunted fight with Dereck Chisora is unlikely to happen.

That fight would have given the winner the British, Commonwealth and European belts.

We now wait to see who is nominated to fight for the vacant titles.

We?ll keep you informed.
