Hot on the heels of the news that Anthony Joshua has had to pull out of his next scheduled fight, news has also broken that David Price has also had to pull out of his comeback fight.

Price, who recently relinquished his British and Commonwealth titles, was due to fight Evgeny Orlov, in Germany, on December 14th.

Unfortunately, the Liverpool fighter has had to withdraw after picking up a virus in training. Talking about pulling out of the fight the Liverpudlian heavyweight has remarked,

‘I’m disappointed. I was looking forward to the fight.

‘But I wouldn’t be doing myself or my fans justice by taking the fight when I am anything less than 100%.’

Quite understandable really, on the back of those two stoppages by Tony Thompson, the last thing Price can afford is a third defeat on the bounce!
