The comeback trail for David Price has come to an abrupt halt.
Scheduled to fight in Oldenburg, Germany, this Saturday evening, the Liverpool fighter, who is now ranked #9 by the WBO and #13 by the IBF, has suffered an injury.
Price, as he was winding up his sparring ahead of the fight against the little known journeyman Emilio Ezequiel Zarate, suffered a biceps injury.
Talking about the disappointment, Price is quoted as having remarked,
?It?s frustrating as I felt that I was in the shape of my life going into this fight.??
?I?ve been to see a specialist, who confirmed it was nothing serious, but advised me to avoid the fight on December 6.?
At the moment there is no inclination as to when Price will return to the ring but if the Liverpool heavyweight is to make a charge toward a world title fight then an injury is the last thing he?d have wanted.
