With the heavyweight scene being buoyant at the moment, a heavyweight on the comeback trail is hoping his next fight will secure him a top-ten rating and a possible world title shot.
Since his career was somewhat derailed by defeats, David Price has steadily worked his way back into the heavyweight picture.
After being defeated by Erkan Teper, who subsequently failed a drugs test, Price has had two fights, both of which have been won inside two rounds.
On 4th February, Price will appear on the undercard of the Chris Eubank Jnr v Renold Quinlan world title fight. With Price being matched against the German based Romanian, Christian Hammer.
Hammer should provide Price with a real test, the 29-year-old has lost just four of his twenty-four fights and has been in the ring with the likes of Tyson Fury, who beat him inside nine rounds and Erkan Teper, who Price has also fought.
At 33-years of age, Price knows that he needs to win this fight to further his ambition sin the heavyweight division and the Liverpool fighter, talking about the fight, has remarked,
?This gives me the platform to show I am back and a big win will put me in the heavyweight mix and in line for a world title shot.?
Let?s hope Price can get past Hammer and progress a career that promised so much but came unstuck somewhere along the line.
