Following the official announcement that was forthcoming yesterday, confirming that Anthony Joshua will fight Eric Molina, in Manchester, on December 10th, somebody who was hoping to be Joshua?s 18th professional opponent has fired an icy blast in the direction of the reigning IBF heavyweight champion.
David Price, who is on the comeback trial and who as a couple of spectacular knockout victories recently, has his own thoughts on why the Joshua camp took the Molina option and not the one to fight him.
Talking to the media, 33-year-old Price has remarked,
?They?ve taken the safer option without a doubt.
?Joshua?s people began to realise there?s a serious chance of him getting knocked out if he fought me.
?The thing with Molina is, I don?t even think he?s going to come here to win at all and that?s the difference. I?d have come to win.?
Here at Vital Boxing we?re not convinced Price has it right when it comes to Molina, surely the American views that as a chance to topple Joshua and claim the crown for himself.
Price Blast for Joshua
