After winning the IBF heavyweight world title against Prince Charles Martin, Anthony Joshua made a successful first defence of his belt against Dominic Breazeale.
Now it would appear that Joshua will be forced to make a mandatory defence of his belt against the 24-year-old New Zealand boxer Joseph Parker.
Like Joshua, Parker is also unbeaten and the bout, said to be lined up for the O2 Arena sometime in November, could, many feel, be the first time Joshua will have been really tested.
Parker is certainly coming over to the UK to win the belt and has remarked to the media about the task ahead,
?I?m not just looking to get a pay cheque, I?m coming to win.
?You can expect someone that?s going to be tearing the house down, be competitive and put on a great show.
?I?m eager to be heavyweight champion of the world.
?The O2 is his home and he?s comfortable there, but this is an opportunity to fight for the world title and I don?t care where it is. I?ll fight anywhere. Even if there?s a lot of people screaming for him. This is going to be one hell of an exciting fight.?
I?m licking my lips in anticipation already, how about you?
