With Joseph Parker now installed as the WBO world heavyweight title holder, we await to see who the Kiwi fights in his first defence.

Unbeaten Parker, with a record that reads 22-0 with 18 wins coming by way of knockout, is considering a defence against another unbeaten heavyweight Hughie Fury.

Despite a spell of recent inactivity, the WBO have moved Hughie Fury, who has a record that reads 20-0 with 10 wins coming by way of stoppage, to #2 in their rankings.

According to Hughie?s trainer, John Fury, his camp are just waiting for the phone call from Parker?s camp to get the fight done.

However, it appears Parker has two other irons in the fire.

It seems that the Liverpool heavyweight David Price, ranked #6 by the WBO, could also be the preferred opponent and we also shouldn?t discount the claims of Jarrell Miller, ranked #4 by the WBO.

As soon as Parker?s opponent for his first defence of the WBO crown is revealed, we?ll cover the story.
