It seems that the promoters at Duco Events have big plans for their WBO heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker.
With a first defence of his recently won world title belt against the unbeaten UK fighter Hughie Fury, scheduled for April, Parker?s promoters are already looking towards their mans? next fight.
It seems that Parker?s team are looking for a unification match against our very own Anthony Joshua, providing Joshua can see off Wladimir Klitschko on 29th April, at Wembley Stadium.
Talking to Sky Sports, Parker?s promoter, David Higgins remarked,
?Joe?s stock ? assuming he wins ? will go through the roof in England, therefore it would make sense for Joe to probably target English opportunities next after Fury.
?If Joshua won, that would be a better unification because Joe?s stocks are high. It looks like we are heading down the UK route at the moment and then once you conquer that, the United States is the next logical step.?
All very well but the two unbeaten fighters in his path, Hughie Fury and Anthony Joshua might have something to say about those plans.
