Last weekend we took a peep at the New Zealand heavyweight Joseph Parker.

Entering his bout against Carlos Takam, Parker was beginning to establish himself as a boxer ready to march on towards a world heavyweight title fight.

Parker started his fight against Takam with a record that read 18-0 with 16 wins coming by knockout and the fight was deemed as an eliminator for the IBF heavyweight crown, currently held by Anthony Joshua.

Parker secured victory against Takam by points, stretching his record to 19-0.

However, it hasn?t taken long for Parker to announce his next fight with it being announced today that the Kiwi fighter will take on the #12 WBA contender Solomon Haumono, at the Horncastle Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Haumono will enter the ring with a record that reads 24-2-2 with 21 wins coming by way of knockout.

Parker should win but it remains to be seen how convincing he?ll be.
