Speculation has been rife in the last week or so that the former Wild Cat Gym boxers, Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan were set to go head-to-head in the ring.

Pacquiao had held a poll asking his fans who should be his next opponent with the poll listing four fighters ? Kell Brook, Jeff Horn, Terence Crawford and Amir Khan.

Khan received the most votes and Pacquiao has been true to his word.

The fight will take place on 23rd April at a venue still to be decided.

Talking about signing the contract for the fight, Pacquiao has remarked,

‘This is what the fans wanted.?

Whereas Khan suggested that with regards to a venue,

‘Should find out in the next couple of days’.

Khan hasn?t fought since May 2016 when he moved up two weights to unsuccessfully challenge Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez for his middleweight crown whilst Pacquiao came out of retirement to win the welterweight crown against Jessie Vargas.

Amongst the possible venues being discussed are Dubai, the US and the UK.
