The furore surrounding the recent WBO welterweight world title fight in Brisbane, back on 2nd July, whereby Jeff Horn was awarded a unanimous points decision over Manny Pacquiao, resulted in the former 11-time world champion asking the WBO to revisit the scoring.

The WBO, using five neutral judges, viewed the recording of the fight and came to the conclusion that Horn did beat Pacquiao, with the verdict being the Australian beat Pacquiao by seven rounds to five.

The decision would have disappointed Pacquiao but it seems that the former eight-weight world champion is not ready to retire and is set to fight on.

Using the power of the social media network, Pacquiao has confirmed to his legions of supporters,

‘I love this sport and until the passion is gone, I will continue to fight for God, my family, my fans and my country.’

At 38-years-of-age, Pacquiao, it has to be said, is approaching the end of a long and illustrious career, can he make his way back up to the top of the tree and possibly grab another world title?

I wouldn?t bet against it, especially if Horn grants him a re-match, as we suspect.
