When has a boxer retired but not actually sticking to it?
Either when he misses the day-to-day involvement the sport offers or when he needs the money.
It would seem that Manny Pacquiao falls into the latter category.
The Philippine fighter has confirmed that he is set to return to the ring and that he will be facing Jesse Varga, who has lost only once in twenty-eight bouts, for the WBO world welterweight title in Las Vegas, on 5th November.
Those who can recall, Pacquiao retired after he beat Timothy Bradley in April.
But instead of focussing on his proposed career in politics, Pacquiao had admitted he misses the involvement and the money, remarking,
?Yes, the fight is on. Boxing is my passion. I miss what I do inside the ring.
?My training camp will be held in the Philippines so I can attend to my legislative work.
?I can?t rely on my salary as a public official.?
Will he beat Vargas?
I?m not so sure, how about you?
