Whilst on Saturday night all eyes were focussed on the IBF heavyweight clash in London, across in Las Vegas a warrior of the ring was having his last professional fight.
The legend that is Manny Pacquiao was taking on Timothy Bradley after coming back from a shoulder injury that marred his last fight against Floyd Mayweather Junior.
In what the 37-year-old is decreeing his last fight Pacquiao took a unanimous decision taking the verdict on the judge?s score-cards:
? 116-110
? 116-110
? 116-110
Pacquiao had Bradley on the canvas in the seventh and the ninth rounds in what was the third fight between the two.
Talking about moving into retirement, Pacquiao remarked,
‘I’ve made a commitment to my family that I’m going to retire after this.
‘Maybe I enjoy being a retired man, serving the people, helping the people.?
After sixty-six fights and having won world titles at six different weights I?d suggest Manny?s retirement is well overdue, although if tempted by the right offer I wouldn?t bet against him coming back.
