Back in action the Philippines hero, Manny Pacquiao, put on a superb display of boxing to beat Brandon Rios.

Beforehand, Pacquiao had promised that he?d win the bout and bring ?pride and hope? to those, in his homeland, who were affected by the devastation that Typhoon Haiyan caused less than a fortnight ago.

Taking on Rios was always going to be a difficult task with the challenger having only been beaten once but Pacquiao was the master of the ring from the opening bell until the last. Rios, despite his record, looked decidedly average and the winning margins, on the judges score-cards, of 120-108, 119-109 and 118-110 were indicative of the 34 year-olds domination.

Having talked a good fight beforehand, Rios was, in all honesty, bitterly disappointing and now with a decent win behind him, we expect the calls for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Junior to fight, to intensify!.
