Now we?re not suggesting that Dereck Chisora needs any extra motivation to beat Tyson Fury tonight, we?re quite sure that the current EBU champion isn?t lacking in that department.
But, at the official weigh-in at the London Empire Cinema yesterday, an event attended by over a 1,000 boxing fans, did Tyson Fury give Chisora that little bit of extra motivation?
With the duo getting up close, it almost kicked off when Fury, trying to get under Chisora?s skin, muttered,
?I am going to beat you up, like you beat your missus.?
The dig was a clear reference to an incident that, back in November 2010, saw Chisora receive a 12 week prison sentence that was suspended for two years.
However, the dig got to Chisora who looked ready to go to war there and then but also saw Chisora refuse to shake Fury?s hand.
Now that one dig might give Chisora extra motivation or was it all staged to wind the London fighter up and disrupt a game-plan that could be to tie Tyson up in the early rounds hoping to tire the Manchester fighter out.
We can only wait and see!
