An unexpected opportunity has arisen for Stuart Hall.

The 33 year old from Darlington has been awarded a shot at the IBF bantamweight title at the First Direct Arena, in Leeds, on December 21st.

Hall will be taking on Vusi Malinga after Jamie McDonnell was, unfortunately, stripped of the title for failing to agree to a mandatory defence.

Speaking about his sudden good fortune, Hall is quoted as having remarked,

?I?m gutted for Jamie losing his title but it?s come at a terrific time for me. Now I?m going t be a world champion.?

The fight gives Hall an incredible opportunity to make an indelible mark on the sport and if he can overcome the challenge that Malinga will present, what a wonderful Christmas present it?ll be for the Darlington lad.
