Hatton?s opponent in the city that never sleeps was the legendary Floyd Mayweather Jnr.
Up for grabs was the WBC welterweight title.
Hatton climbed into the Las Vegas ring unbeaten as a professional, cheered on by thousands of travelling British fight fans, who had journey across the Atlantic, Hatton hoped to continue on his march to greatness.
Unfortunately, Mayweather Jnr had other ideas and Hatton, to the disappointment of his army of supporters, was stopped in the 10th round of the fight.
A defining moment in his career, his first professional loss, beaten but not bowed, Hatton remains one of the most exciting fighters this country has ever produced.
