Whilst most eyes were looking towards the huge bill in Manchester last night, one of our London 2012 medallists was making a long-awaited ring return in Germany.

After a year out with Achilles problems, an injury that required two operations, Anthony Ogogo stepped back into the ring to face the Ukrainian fighter Ruslan Schelev.

Ogogo, promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and the Sauerland team, took the verdict on points in the six round bout.

But it was a far from impressive performance with Ogogo looking a little laboured, but there was a reason for that.

After the fight the Lowestoft fighter explained that, in the second round, he?d dislocated his shoulder.

Sadly for Ogogo that means another long injury lay-off, just what the doctor didn?t order.

Here at Vital Boxing we hope Ogogo doesn?t get too disheartened and comes back soon.
