Anthony Ogogo, the unbeaten Lowestoft middleweight, has now been absent from the professional ring for a year.

Troubled by Achilles problems that have required two operations, Ogogo is now set to return to the ring on Saturday 18th July, against an as yet un-named opponent.

The 2012 Olympic bronze medallist has also announced that, from now on, he will be jointly promoted with Team Sauerland joining up with Oscar De La Hoya?s Golden Boy Promotions to guide the boxer through his career.

Naturally, Ogogo is pleased to be heading towards a ring return and also the exclusive tie-up, with the boxer remarking,

‘I now feel fitter than I’ve ever felt and ready to send a wake-up call to the middleweight division.

‘I am incredibly excited by this new partnership and cannot wait to get back in the ring.

‘I feel privileged to have two of best promoters in world boxing backing me and want to thank them both for helping me get to this point.?

With the legend that is Oscar De La Hoya adding about Anthony,

‘The sky is the limit for Anthony and we look forward to partnering with Team Sauerland to help fans across the globe witness the massive talent that this Olympic medallist brings to the table.’

Hopefully Ogogo can make up for lost time and get his career back on track after his injury lay-off after starting with seven straight wins featuring four knockouts.
