In just over two weeks? time another of our medallists from the London 2012 Olympic Games will fight for a title.

For Anthony Ogogo the wait has been longer than he?d ever have anticipated with the Lowestoft fighter having seen his career interrupted with Achilles and shoulder injuries.

But on 22nd October, in Birmingham, Ogogo, on the undercard of the promotion topped by the Frankie Gavin v Sam Eggington fight; Ogogo will go head-to-head with Craig Cunningham for the vacant WBC International middleweight title.

27-year-old Ogogo has won three fights on the bounce since coming back from injury and talking about the chance to box for his first title has remarked to the Boxing media,

‘I’m feeling fitter and stronger than I ever have done before and am looking forward to getting in the ring on fight night and doing the business.

‘I am fiercely ambitious and determined to reach the very top of this sport but know that I can’t look beyond Cunningham.

‘He is a good fighter with a good record but I am completely focused on what I need to do to win that belt.’

Cunningham, the current Midlands Area Middleweight title holder will prove to be a good test for Ogogo, but I know who my money is on, how about you?
