This Saturday Anthony Ogogo makes his long awaited return to the ring.

Side-lined for a year after two operations to cure an Achilles problem, Ogogo will make his return to the ring on a Sauerland promotion at the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle, Germany.

Ogogo, unbeaten since turning professional following a bronze medal winning performance at the 2012 London Olympics, will be taking on the UkrainianRuslan Schelev.

Twenty-six year-old Schelev has a pretty decent record having won eleven of his fourteen professional fights and will provide Ogogo with a stern test.

But Ogogo isn?t fazed by the task that faces him and has remarked to the media,

”I wanted the very best opponent available for my return.

”I didn’t want an easy opponent. I wanted someone who would really test me. He’s a quality fighter.’

Our best wishes go to Anthony and we?ll be cheering him on this Saturday in what will be a huge night for Boxing with bills in Manchester, Halle and the US all featuring name British fighters.
