Being promoted by the legendary Golden Boy promotions has its positive aspects for Anthony Ogogo.

Our bronze medallist from the London 2012 games will feature on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jnr v Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas, on May 3rd.

?With a professional record of 5-0, from his first five professional fights, Ogogo is chuffed to be given this opportunity, remarking in the media,

‘It will be absolutely unbelievable. It’s exactly why I joined [promoter] Golden Boy,’

‘I want those big, glamorous nights in amazing venues like the MGM Grand.’

For Ogogo it is the chance to achieve something that escaped him last year when an injury forced the Lowestoft boxer off the under-card when Mayweather bear Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas last year, something which had him remarking,

‘When you miss out on anything you find out how much you desperately want it.?

‘Last time I was injured and sat at home absolutely gutted. This time I will fight an hour before Mayweather and then I’ll be able to watch the greatest boxer of our generation.’

Exactly, a moment to treasure for the young man.
