On the Liverpool Echo Arena undercard last night, our 2012 London Olympic bronze medallist continued to extend his winning streak.
Ogogo, from Lowestoft, but tied to the Golden Boy Promotions team, was up against the Sheffield fighter Wayne Reed, in a six round contest.
Ogogo got off to a great start when he put Grey on the seat of his pants in the opening exchanges. Reed recovered to continue but sharp work from Ogogo clearly identified him as the better fighter.
Continuing to take the initiative Ogogo marked Grey up under both eyes and blood was running from a head wound and a cut under Reed’s right eye.
As we entered the fifth round, Ogogo was clearly ahead but the Olympian was to finish the fight in style forcing a stoppage.
The victory takes Ogogo?s record to 7-0 and last night?s performance was probably his best since turning professional.
Bigger and better things surely lie ahead for this young man.
