Carl Froch, having beaten Mikkel Kessler the last time out, appears to be the target for everybody as far as his next fight goes.

One fighter desperate for a crack at Froch is the Welsh WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly.

It appears that Cleverly?s promoter Frank Warren tried to tempt Froch into agreeing to fight his man with a purse offer of £2.5 million, but to no avail, prompting Cleverly to goad Froch over his claim that he was the best fighter Britain has ever had, with Cleverly replying,

?Froch saying he is the best British fighter ever is an absolute joke.?

?And to disregard me as a worthy challenger, that is ridiculous.?

The way things are going, this just has to be a fight that?ll happen somewhere down the line, but just when remains the $64,000 question!
