After the disappointing conclusion to the much-vaunted clash between Stuart Hall and Martin Ward on Saturday night, in Newcastle, it doesn?t look as if a re-match I son the cards any time soon.
Hall, who retained his title courtesy of a technical draw after an accidental clash of heads had opened up a cut on Ward?s eye, appears to be tied in to a mandatory defence next time out with the 34 year-old IBF champion remarking after the bout,
?I?m told it will be hard to do an immediate re-match because I have to face the winner of Randy Caballero and Kobei Oba in June.?
?I?m sorry the bout ended the way it did it felt as if my punches would have stopped him anyway.?
Sadly, that statement looks unlikely to be verified, well not for some time anyway!
No Immediate Re-Match?
