The hugely anticipated Ringside programme on Sky Sports TV yesterday (Thursday) proved a strange affair.

With their huge all-British world title fight coming up, both Carl Froch and George Groves were in the studio.

But whereas you expected the champion, Carl Froch, to be the one taking the lead and being the more comfortable of the two, Froch looked to be troubled.

In fact it was George Groves that was the one who impressed me.

Groves wasted no time in telling those watching how he was going to break Froch up and take his belts home, Froch would, you?d have expected, come up with some retort but looked as if he didn?t want to be there.

In fact, Froch, for some strange reason, hardly exchanged eye-contact with Groves instead choosing to look at Johnny Nelson or Adam Smith or simply skywards..

Which begs me to ask the question ? has Groves got under his skin or has the experienced champion seen it all before?
