Do they match yours or can you add to them?
After the excitement of Saturday night at the O2 Arena, I can?t wait for the next big Anthony Joshua night which, according to Eddie Hearn in his post-fight interview, will be on Saturday 9th July at Wembley Stadium.
But it?d be churlish to move on from Saturday night without recalling a few moments that made the hairs on the back of my net stand up.
1 ? The gradually building atmosphere that reached a crescendo when Anthony Joshua strode to the ring was awe-inspiring.
2 ? Hearing the chimes of ?Big Ben? introducing Conor Benn for his first professional fight took me back to the days of when his father, Nigel, was fighting, another moment when the adrenalin rush made it such a wonderful night.
3 ? The sound of the O2 Arena picking up on the fact that the legend that is Frank Bruno was there. Twice he was picked up by the big screen and twice the arena roof was lifted with cheers of ?BRUNO, BRUNO? the man is a legend and deserves respect for fighting his biggest fight years after retiring from the sport he graced.
4 – The moment the bell sounded for the start of the Prince Charles Martin v Anthony Joshua IBF heavyweight title fight, I thought my ear-drums were going to burst, similarly when Prince Charles crashed to the canvas for the second time.
5 – Watching the ticker tape falling down from the 02 Arena ceiling and realising it was adorned with AJ as the new IBG heavyweight champion.
Five magical moments from a night watching the sport I love.
