Now operating in the super-middleweight division, after his world title defeat at the hands of Gennady Golovkin, Martin Murray was making his second foray in the division.

It was a comfortable night for the St Helens fighter who was matched up against the capable Croatian Mirzet Bajrektarevic.

Murray was always on top and dominated the action and it came as no surprise that after a flurry of blows, the referee stepped in to halt the contest.

It appears that Murray has made the step-up with ease and could well be a force in a division that now has a void for a top-notch British fighter now that Carl Froch has retired.

Can Murray finally win a world title at his new weight, I wouldn?t count against it.
