At the Echo Arena, in Liverpool, on Saturday night, Martin Murray added another win to his professional record as he attempts to steer himself towards another world title attempt.

Matched against the American fighter, Gabriel Rosado, Murray got the verdict via a controversial majority points verdict.

After the final bell sounded after the twelfth round, the judges scored the fight as follows:

? 114 ? 114 (draw)
? 119 ? 109 (for Murray)
? 116 ? 112 (for Murray).

The 31-year-old American took umbrage to the scoring angrily remonstrating with the judges over what he termed the ?crazy? scoring.

To be fair he does have a point when one judge has it by a wide margin and another has it as a draw then perhaps questions should be asked.

However, Murray, talking to Sky Sports was in no doubt about the verdict, remarking,

‘I said all along I was a level above him and I proved that tonight.

‘I thought I won it cleanly. I would give him three rounds max. He got completely schooled, it’s as simple as that. He proved he’s a tough fighter but I was a step ahead.’

Can Murray, now 34-years of age, get another world title chance?
