The suggestion is doing the rounds that two recent world title losers could be set to go head-to-head.

We understand that discussions are underway that would see a he domestic fight go ahead, at super-middleweight between George Groves and Martin Murray.

Groves has been unfortunate to have lost three world title fights, the latest being against Badou Jack, a fight many thought he?d won. Murray, on the other hand has been beaten by Gennady Golovkin and Arthur Abraham in recent world title fights.

When it comes to professional records, Groves? currently reads 22-3 with 17 wins by knockout whilst Martin?s stands at 32-3-1 with 15 wins coming by knockout.

According to several sources Eddie Hearn is in talks with Groves promoters, Sauerland, to finalize a deal.

Although a world title might not be at stake the fact that a defeat for either, in this contest, could spell the end of a career makes it a match-up neither dare lose.

We?ll keep an eye out for an announcement on the bout.
