When it comes to fighting on the promotion in Monte Carlo this Saturday evening, Martin Murray could be excused for forgetting who his opponent will be.
A re-match against Arthur Abraham fell through, with Abraham picking up an injury. Doubts as to whether the four-time world title challenger would fight on the bill were ended when he was matched with Dmitry Chudinov.
But that fight also fell through after the hard-hitting Chudinov picked up an illness that forced him to withdraw.
However, Murray will still fight on the bill and Murray, who has a record that now reads 33-4-1 with 16 wins coming by knockout, will take on the German based Nigerian fighter Nuhu Lawal.
Lawal is unbeaten with a record that reads 23-0 with 13 wins coming by way of knockout but the 34-year-old has fought nobody of any consequence.
Therefore, at the Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo, we?re expecting Martin Murray to claim the vacant WBA Continental super-middleweight title.
