Yesterday we ran an article on how it was being bandied about that Martin Murray could very well be the next challenger for Arthur Abraham?s WBO super-middleweight world title.

We also mentioned that one Bernard ?The Executioner? Hopkins was also being mentioned as a possible opponent and that the announcement as to who the German would be fighting next would be made today.

Well it turns out that Abraham has opted to take on Martin Murray in Hannover, Germany on November 21st.

Previously, Murray has failed in three other world title fights at middleweight but has done himself proud every time.

Since moving up to super-middleweight the St Helens fighter has remained unbeaten and talking about his chances to fight the world title, 33-year-old Murray has remarked,

‘I am thrilled to have the chance to face Arthur.

‘It’s the fight I targeted when I chose to move up. I’m at my natural weight now and believe I’ll become champion.’

We sincerely hope so Martin, you deserve to hear those immortal words??AND THE NEW?..
