Over in Monte Carlo tonight, Martin Murray has the toughest of tough tasks when he takes on Gennady Golovkin for his WBA Super World middleweight title.
Golovkin, as we?ve mentioned several times before, is a fearsome fighter and a fighter that is suggested as being the best not only in the middleweight division but possibly in the super-middleweight division.
Murray has come up short in two previous world title attempts against Felix Sturm and Sergio Martinez, but Golovkin is, pundits are suggesting, a class above those two.
Nevertheless, Murray, as you?d expect as he approaches a world title fight, isn?t short on confidence and is preaching to those that are prepared to listen that he is coming to Monte Carlo to do a job on Golovkin and intends turning this bout into a dog-fight and the survival of the fittest.
Speaking to the media as the fight draws nearer, Murray has remarked,
?I?ve just got to prove people wrong all over again. I know it?s a massive challenge, but it?s a fight and a challenge I really am looking forward to.
?It?s going to be a dog fight and I?m going to have to go through some pain.
?I?m going to have to go to a place I?ve never been before. But I?m ready, willing and prepared to go to that level and do whatever it takes to win that fight. It will be my versatility that gets me through this fight.?
Numerous people have ventured to Monte Carlo and gambled and lost, could Martin Murray be the one that plays his cards right and hits the jackpot?
